
Candidate Screening
At Your World we have an extremely thorough and stringent screening process and always require the following from all our candidates:
- Curriculum Vitae
We require a full, current and up to date CV from every candidate
- Application Form
All candidates are required to complete a Your World application form before commencing employment
- Passport Photos
We require 2 passport photos in order to issue an I.D. badge upon verification of a candidate’s identity. This must be worn at all times during placements via Your World Recruitment
- References
Two professional references are obtained, one of which must be from the candidate’s most recent employer and dated within the last 3 months
- Verification of Identity
Before commencing employment we require an original passport, driving licence or birth certificate to confirm identity
- Immigration Status
All candidates must provide original proof of their right to work in Australia or New Zealand, whether in the form of an Australian/New Zealand passport, a visa entitling them to work in either country or a valid work permit. Copies are obtained and held on file to ensure that all documentation is up to date and visa expiry dates can be regularly checked
- Proof of Address
We require 2 forms of proof of a candidate’s current address. This can be utility bills, phone bills or bank statements
- Qualifications
All qualifications are verified by the institution from which they were gained. We must see original copies of all qualifications
- Professional Registration
Original certificates of professional registration are requested and all registrations are verified by Your World Recruitment with the relevant professional body via the Internet. We also carry out online registration checks every month and closely monitor any disputes with the organisation
- Mandatory Training
Candidates are required to complete all mandatory training on a yearly basis. This includes 2 practical sessions – Basic Life Support/Immediate Life Support and Manual Handling. They also complete the following online training sessions on a yearly basis ;

Complaints Handling
COSHH
Fire Safety
Health & Safety
Infection Control (inc. Clostridium Difficle & MRSA)
Loneworker
Riddor/Risk Incident Reporting

POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults)
- Occupational Health
All candidates must have occupational health clearance in line with the statutory requirements for their profession. This includes immunisation against Varicella, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps and Rubella. For workers performing Exposure Prone Procedures (EPPs) HIV and Hepatitis C blood tests are also required. In addition all candidates must complete an Occupational Health Form provided by Your World Recruitment.
- Police Checks
All our candidates are subjected to relevant police checks.
- Monitoring Candidate Performance
We constantly monitor candidates’ performance via Performance Feedback reports and End of Placement Reports which are provided by a senior member of staff in the department.
