Job Description

Your World Medical Recruitment is currently searching for Cardiologist interested in a Permanent job opportunity.

Successful candidates will possess recent experience in working within an Australian based hospital or a clinic, posses a positive attitude and the right motivation for the job. ASAR registration, police check and full occupational health records are also required.

There are facilities for exercise ECG’s, ambulatory monitoring, echocardiography (including TOE), diagnostic cardiac angiography, and the insertion and follow-up of permanent pacemakers. There is a well established heart failure service as well as hospital-based cardiac rehabilitation.

Responsibilities will include participation in the newly established Community Cardiology programme which will provide specialist cardiologist and nursing support to outlying areas of the Midcentral District Health Board region.

Applicants must be eligible for vocational registration in Internal Medicine with the Medical Council of New Zealand, as well as having demonstrated clinical, management and teaching skills and the ability to work effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
