Your World are currently recruiting for Registered Nurses with mental health experience for the opening of two new wards in a Sydney Forensic Hospital

Your role will involve but not be limited to:

•Planning, implementing and evaluating the day to day mental health and basic physical health care requirements of patients within the hospital

•Promoting self awareness and development of self and colleagues

•Effectively managing resources used in the provision of health care

•Participating in medication administration procedures according to statutory and organisational guidelines

Successful applicants will have:

•Current NSW Nurses and Midwives Registration

•Minimum of 6 months recent experience working within a mental health setting

•Effective skills, interest and experience in multidisciplinary team work

•Effective communication and interpersonal skills

•Awareness of relevant NSW mental Health Legislation and legal frameworks

•A commitment to self-learning and development

•Previous experience working in a high secure mental health environment is very advantageous

•Nurses with a background in Mental Health on a working holiday (417) visa are encouraged to apply
