Various members across ESC have come together to create a number of recipes that are healthy for the heart and diverse at the same time.
The aim with the book is to reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases in Europe. Each sale results in a donation to the European Heart for Children charity and the book is to be launched when the biggest cardio conference in the world is being held in Stockholm, Sweden on the 1 September.
Sections in the book gives an overview of the heart itself and how it functions as the engine of the body. The cookery book aims to please a number of people, and recipes from central Europe as well as from the Meditarranean.
