High school students a solution to doctor’s shortage in Australia

As a result of a high demand for health care practitioners in general, and doctors in particular, the South-West Medical Attraction Taskforce are now encouraging high school students to look into medicine studies. Doctors in Australia are facing an increased workload and Australia is desperately calling out for more doctors, as some doctors are now dealing with 1500 more patients per day compared to the average. A report by the organization recommends a part from locum schemes and an expanded medical intern program, that south-west high school students should be encouraged to study medicine.
